I've got this hanging up just for inspiration. It was one of the first tops that I ever put together. The rays in the outer ring are made from walnut and curly hard maple. The center elipse is mahoghany, and the compass star is curly hard maple, walnut and rosewood. It is not purfect, and so I'll probably keep it for myself. I'm thinking of making a pedistal table out of it one of these days. For now, I just like looking at it.
