      As you can see, the Bloodwood can have beautiful grain as well as color. The table skirt of this pulpit shows the grain of the curly maple. As I said before, I used the curly maple everywhere but the pulpit's legs. Curly quartersawn hard maple tends to chipout alot when turned, so I chose to use plain hard maple in the legs.
